Leading India’s charge for low-carbon air travel

The India Sustainable Aviation Fuel Alliance (ISAFA) is a pioneering initiative dedicated to advancing the development, adoption, and scaling of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) in India. As the aviation sector continues to expand, reducing carbon emissions is critical to ensuring sustainable growth. ISAFA serves as a collaborative platform that brings together government bodies, industry leaders, airlines, technology providers, researchers, and policymakers to accelerate SAF integration into India’s aviation ecosystem.

With India positioned as the third-largest aviation market globally, the alliance plays a big role in supporting the country’s transition to low-carbon aviation by fostering innovation, policy advocacy, and investment in SAF technologies. ISAFA aligns its efforts with India's climate goals, including its commitment to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2070.
